We are very excited to announce Find Chaffy Yami-Kawaii!
Yami-Kawaii is a new Japanese subculture meaning ‘sick/cute’. It involves a lot of weird and wonderful styles, medical fashions, and super cute characters. Never one to be out of style, Chaffy was keen to get involved, and you can now download these four free wallpaper patterns for your desktop, phone or tablet! Check out the designs below, and click your preference to open the image in a new window. Then just drag it out!
With help from the amazingly talented folk at Birdbox Animation and Mind Candy, we’ve produced some Find Chaffy cartoons! This is to help inform the general public about Chaffies, what they’re like, and how to find them, so we can increase our ongoing Chaffy searches. So please enjoy, and if you like these first two, please share them around and show others! Soon we will get everyone finding Chaffies!
(ps and one more cartoon on its way next week! Eep!)
We here at Chaffy H.Q. have been looking for new Chaffy sightings, and as you may know if you follow Chaffy on twitter (@findchaffy), some rather unusual Chaffies have been turning up all around London. Well now we’re getting reports of a Chaffy spotted inside the Forbidden Planet megastore on Shaftesbury Avenue, London, and we were thinking. If you went along and found this particular Chaffy, tweeting us a photo of yourself with the Chaffy (including the hashtag #CHAFFYATFP), well then maybe we could send you a Chaffy all of your own!
Chaffy will be in Forbidden Planet from the 1st to the 31st October, so there’s plenty of time. We’ll pick five selfies at random, and send the winners their own Chaffy toys, along with a bundle of other Chaffy goodies. Oh, and if you want a clue as to where in the store Chaffy is…
The next two months are going to be Chaffy crazy, with loads of chances to win your own Chaffies, Chaffy merchandise, and some very very exciting news at the end of it all! Do follow us on twitter (www.twitter.com/findchaffy) and like us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/findchaffy) to be the first to see all the news.
It all kicks off next week, September the first! See you then, Chaffy finders!
Hello Chaffy finders!
We’ve been very busy here at Chaffy HQ recently, updating lots and lots of new pictures to our PopJam channel! If you don’t have PopJam yet, you can get it from the app store, it’s a brilliant place to post pictures and follow things you like, and it’s all free! Be sure to follow the Find Chaffy channel once you’re on there, and you’ll see everything we’ve been creating!
In the meantime, the ongoing search for Chaffies around the world never ends, and we’ve received a bumper load of new sightings from A-grade Chaffy Finder Cate Trotter! She spotted these Chaffies while in Melbourne Australia and New Zealand, so we’ve compiled some of them onto one page HERE
YES! We here at Find Chaffy HQ are delighted to announce that the search for Chaffies is about to get a lot more interactive, as we now have our very own channel on PopJam!
PopJam is a new social media app for kids (and grown-up kids), created by Mind Candy (those fantastic folk behind Moshi Monsters and more). You can upload pictures, draw on other people’s pictures, chat and basically cause colourful havoc with your friends! And now we have a dedicated Find Chaffy channel (sitting alongside Adventure Time and Doctor Who, no less!), we’ll be posting up cool cartoons, sightings, puzzles and all sorts of other things.
You can download the app on iOS and Android, click on their site HERE to find out more.
Hooray! See you on the digital side, Chaffy searchers!
Sometimes Chaffies are spotted out in the wild and they’re gone before you know it. Only thanks to the vigilance of our fantastic Chaffy spotters and their cameras do we ever know they were there! Like this amazing photo, by Chaffy uber-spotter Cate Trotter, of a Chaffy trying to get himself autographed at a One Direction signing!
Massive thanks to Sarah Weigel, who spotted a Chaffy taking a tour of the Far East, around Malaysia, Thailand and Kuala Lumpur. CLICK HERE to see the rest of the photos!
She even spotted a Chaffy house! What a luxurious-looking place to live!
It’s been really quiet in the search for Chaffies lately, mostly because when it’s cold outside Chaffies like to hide in doors and sit on radiators. However we do have a couple of excellent sightings which have come in over the winter months.
Here’s is an amazing SNOW CHAFFY made by the very talented Melissa Wong, and kept in her freezer!
And here is Chaffy soundchecking on stage with The Avett Brothers. Rock on, Chaffy!
(thanks to Annie for the photo!)
Thank you everyone for your sightings and emails, sorry for the delay in replying but we hope to get back to everyone soon enough! If we haven’t put your Chaffy pics on the site yet, do remind us!
