It’s been really quiet in the search for Chaffies lately, mostly because when it’s cold outside Chaffies like to hide in doors and sit on radiators. However we do have a couple of excellent sightings which have come in over the winter months.
Here’s is an amazing SNOW CHAFFY made by the very talented Melissa Wong, and kept in her freezer!
And here is Chaffy soundchecking on stage with The Avett Brothers. Rock on, Chaffy!
(thanks to Annie for the photo!)
Thank you everyone for your sightings and emails, sorry for the delay in replying but we hope to get back to everyone soon enough! If we haven’t put your Chaffy pics on the site yet, do remind us!
Happy new year, Chaffy spotters! We hope you had a great festive season!
We certainly did. This morning a rather special envelope turned up featuring a whole COMIC drawn by the very talented team of Sam Reeve, Sarah McIntyre, Stuart Pyle, and Philip, Michael and Sarah Reeve.
Inside, Chaffies get up to all sorts of trouble trying to escape from rampaging Christmas puddings! Here is page one..
If you’d like to read the rest of the comic, Sarah has kindly posted it all up on her blog, which is HERE, so do have a look!
Thank you Sam, Sarah, Philip, Michael, Sarah and Stuart (phew!), it’s absolutely amazing, and a hilarious read!
Here is a Chaffy spotted in the wild, it’s amazing to get some actual footage!
(actually, this is a brilliant film made by Ellis Bowers, using clay. Thank you so much Ellis, it looks amazing!)
So sorry we haven’t updated Find Chaffy for a while, but thank you everyone who has sent art and sightings in, we do really really appreciate it. We just need to find more time to keep updating the blog! In the meantime, for everyone asking where they can get a Chaffy from, we don’t have any ourselves (they’re such elusive little creatures!) – however, it may be worth emailing our publisher Scholastic (email@example.com) who might be able to spot one around their office to send on. Please note – this is only a maybe though! Chaffies are very rare so we can’t promise anything, sorry.
We get a lot of wonderful Chaffy art sent in here at Chaffy Towers, and we really appreciate all of it. But this one is rather special. It is the creation of one Mister Eddie Gammon (age 11), who has painstakingly reproduced the front cover of the Find Chaffy book. Wow Eddie, this is incredible! You’re well on your way to being a famous artist at this rate!
Many thanks to the excellent Chaffy spotter Cate Trotter (oh that rhymes!), who photographed the wonderful Dave Gorman himself stumbling upon a Chaffy. Chaffies do like beards to sleep in, maybe that’s why
Thank you very much to one of our best Chaffy Finders Laura M, who sent in these photos kindly taken by her friends Marilyn in Ohio, and Patti in Maryland. Here’s a Chaffy having fun and rocking those shades!
Hello everyone! Sorry we haven’t updated for a little while, but we’re back with new sightings, and now the sun is coming out again we’re hopeful more Chaffies will be spotted enjoying the weather. We’ve also fixed the website so you can comment again, so please keep those comments and emails coming in, we love hearing from you!
A lot of people have been emailing in asking how they can get hold of a Chaffy, and if we can send them one. Unfortunately we don’t have any Chaffies to send out, we’re working to find a way we can do this, but we’re not there yet. Remember, if you have the second book Find Chaffy Now, there is an email address in the front which you can email to possibly get your own Chaffy.
Until next time, keep your eyes open for Chaffies! They hide EVVVERYWHERE!
Hello Chaffy finders!
This is a very quick note from Find Chaffy H.Q. to say we’re sorry we haven’t updated the blog for a little while, we do have a whole bundle of sightings but we just haven’t found the time to sort them through yet. We’ve been too busy wandering around the garden and looking under cushions for Chaffies. But rest assured we will be updating soon, so please do keep the sightings and lovely Chaffy art coming in!
In the meantime, we found this UH-MAZING Chaffy cake on the internet. Doesn’t it look delicious? If you’re the talent behind this cake, please do get in touch!
edit: Cake made by Jan Richards for Miller’s friend Hywel. Thank you all for getting in touch!
WOW! Chaffy received LOADS of amazing Christmas cards from his amazingly talented friends, and he read and loved them all. Thank you SO much to everyone who entered, shown here are the three winning cards (if this is you could you email us your address asap firstname.lastname@example.org), but it was so incredibly hard to choose. Without exception, every card was brilliant, and we really appreciate the time people spent on them. As a special thank you, everyone who sent Chaffy a card will receive an exclusive christmas message from Chaffy in their email tomorrow!
But for now here are the winners, and remember to click the link at the bottom to see all the other absolutely amazing cards that came in. And HAPPY CHRISTMAS to everyone!
Here’s a quick competition! We have three Chaffy toys to give away, and all you have to do to be in with a chance of winning one is draw a christmas card wishing Chaffy a happy christmas! It can be whatever you want, just as long as it shows a Chaffy or Chaffies, and is all christmassy. However good you are, wherever you’re from, however old you are, everyone’s welcome! Send your entries to email@example.com, to be received no later than THIS FRIDAY (that’s friday 16th December) at 5pm UK time. The winning three will be given pride of place on the Find Chaffy blog and a Chaffy will turn up on their doorstep just in time for Christmas!* All other entries will also be collected together and shown on the blog.
Here’s to a Chaffy Christmas! Good luck!
*Chaffy toys will be posted on the saturday, so while they should arrive in time, we obviously can’t guarantee the post or international delivery.
Winners will be announced here and on the Find Chaffy twitter. Decision is final. A Chaffy is for life, not just for Christmas!
