Hello Chaffy finders!
We’ve been very busy here at Chaffy HQ recently, updating lots and lots of new pictures to our PopJam channel! If you don’t have PopJam yet, you can get it from the app store, it’s a brilliant place to post pictures and follow things you like, and it’s all free! Be sure to follow the Find Chaffy channel once you’re on there, and you’ll see everything we’ve been creating!
In the meantime, the ongoing search for Chaffies around the world never ends, and we’ve received a bumper load of new sightings from A-grade Chaffy Finder Cate Trotter! She spotted these Chaffies while in Melbourne Australia and New Zealand, so we’ve compiled some of them onto one page HERE
YES! We here at Find Chaffy HQ are delighted to announce that the search for Chaffies is about to get a lot more interactive, as we now have our very own channel on PopJam!
PopJam is a new social media app for kids (and grown-up kids), created by Mind Candy (those fantastic folk behind Moshi Monsters and more). You can upload pictures, draw on other people’s pictures, chat and basically cause colourful havoc with your friends! And now we have a dedicated Find Chaffy channel (sitting alongside Adventure Time and Doctor Who, no less!), we’ll be posting up cool cartoons, sightings, puzzles and all sorts of other things.
You can download the app on iOS and Android, click on their site HERE to find out more.
Hooray! See you on the digital side, Chaffy searchers!
Sometimes Chaffies are spotted out in the wild and they’re gone before you know it. Only thanks to the vigilance of our fantastic Chaffy spotters and their cameras do we ever know they were there! Like this amazing photo, by Chaffy uber-spotter Cate Trotter, of a Chaffy trying to get himself autographed at a One Direction signing!
Massive thanks to Sarah Weigel, who spotted a Chaffy taking a tour of the Far East, around Malaysia, Thailand and Kuala Lumpur. CLICK HERE to see the rest of the photos!
She even spotted a Chaffy house! What a luxurious-looking place to live!
It’s been really quiet in the search for Chaffies lately, mostly because when it’s cold outside Chaffies like to hide in doors and sit on radiators. However we do have a couple of excellent sightings which have come in over the winter months.
Here’s is an amazing SNOW CHAFFY made by the very talented Melissa Wong, and kept in her freezer!
And here is Chaffy soundchecking on stage with The Avett Brothers. Rock on, Chaffy!
(thanks to Annie for the photo!)
Thank you everyone for your sightings and emails, sorry for the delay in replying but we hope to get back to everyone soon enough! If we haven’t put your Chaffy pics on the site yet, do remind us!
Happy new year, Chaffy spotters! We hope you had a great festive season!
We certainly did. This morning a rather special envelope turned up featuring a whole COMIC drawn by the very talented team of Sam Reeve, Sarah McIntyre, Stuart Pyle, and Philip, Michael and Sarah Reeve.
Inside, Chaffies get up to all sorts of trouble trying to escape from rampaging Christmas puddings! Here is page one..
If you’d like to read the rest of the comic, Sarah has kindly posted it all up on her blog, which is HERE, so do have a look!
Thank you Sam, Sarah, Philip, Michael, Sarah and Stuart (phew!), it’s absolutely amazing, and a hilarious read!
Here is a Chaffy spotted in the wild, it’s amazing to get some actual footage!
(actually, this is a brilliant film made by Ellis Bowers, using clay. Thank you so much Ellis, it looks amazing!)
So sorry we haven’t updated Find Chaffy for a while, but thank you everyone who has sent art and sightings in, we do really really appreciate it. We just need to find more time to keep updating the blog! In the meantime, for everyone asking where they can get a Chaffy from, we don’t have any ourselves (they’re such elusive little creatures!) – however, it may be worth emailing our publisher Scholastic (firstname.lastname@example.org) who might be able to spot one around their office to send on. Please note – this is only a maybe though! Chaffies are very rare so we can’t promise anything, sorry.
We get a lot of wonderful Chaffy art sent in here at Chaffy Towers, and we really appreciate all of it. But this one is rather special. It is the creation of one Mister Eddie Gammon (age 11), who has painstakingly reproduced the front cover of the Find Chaffy book. Wow Eddie, this is incredible! You’re well on your way to being a famous artist at this rate!
Many thanks to the excellent Chaffy spotter Cate Trotter (oh that rhymes!), who photographed the wonderful Dave Gorman himself stumbling upon a Chaffy. Chaffies do like beards to sleep in, maybe that’s why
